And it's personal.

  • I come to their gamesTwo or three, to see their role and how they handle the ups and downs.
  • A plan built around themTheir strengths, their role, their other sports, and the player they want to become.
  • A coach who's been thereI learned this the hard way, so your kid doesn't have to. And we communicate often.
Why "Fifteen Feet"

Fifteen Feet

Just you and your thoughts.

The clock stops. Everyone's watching. It's you, the rim, and whatever's going on in your head.

Anyone can be confident after a make. But even NBA players feel the weight of a miss. Over five seasons, NBA players made 80% of their second free throws after making the first, and just 73% after missing it.1 For LeBron James, it was 79% versus 57%.2 With the game on the line, the gap gets even wider.3

Now picture a 12-year-old with the whole gym watching.

We coach what happens next.

Let go of the last shot. Own the next one.

What we build

The 3 C's

Confidence

Self-esteem that doesn't depend on the last shot.

You'll see it when they want the ball with the game on the line.

Character

Life skills like leadership, teamwork, communication, and handling conflict.

You'll see it when they're first to pick up a teammate.

Composure

Notice big feelings, name them, and breathe through them.

You'll see it when they stay calm in the big moments.

Questions

Parents usually ask

Is this mostly mental training?

No. We're basketball coaches first. Sessions are full of footwork, ball-handling, shooting, finishing, and defense. The confidence and composure work is built into the basketball, not taught instead of it.

What ages and levels do you work with?

All of them, boys and girls, from first-time players to varsity starters.

Do I need to stay during sessions?

It isn't required, but I strongly recommend it, especially at the start. You're always welcome to watch.

My kid already has a team, a trainer, and other sports.

That's why I ask about everything they do. The plan fits around their team, other sports, and strength work, so we add to their week instead of piling on.
